Common problems
Pickup is self-service. Open your booking on your phone, stand at the trailer, and use the unlock in the booking.
Check you are at the location on the booking and that the booking start time has begun.
The lock is on the coupling that as a 4-digit pin on the bottom of it.
If the lock does not release, refresh the page or reopen the booking link, then call 0478 365 219.
Do not force the lock or the coupling.
All of our trailers use a 7-pin flat plug.
Check the 7-pin plug is fully seated and the cover is not in the way.
If no lights are working, it could be your female plug.
If only one light is out, look for a loose wire in the 7 flat pin plug.
Make sure the pins are touching your female plug. If the pins are pressed in together, you can ever so gently separate the pins enough to leave a little gap.
Call 0478 365 219 if you need more assistance.
The tow ball must be the right size (50mm) and the coupling fully down on it before the latch clicks.
Wind the jockey wheel so the coupling sits square on the ball, then lock it and fit the safety chain and breakaway cable if the trailer has one.
If the latch will not close, do not force it and do not drive. Call us on 0478 365 219 from the pickup point.
Make sure the clamp is loose enough to turn, then wind the handle steadily.
Do not stand under the drawbar while you adjust it.
Once the coupling is locked on the ball, wind the wheel fully up and clamp it so it cannot drop while you are towing.
If the handle spins freely or the wheel is bent, stop and call 0478 365 219.
Trailers with electric brakes need a controller in the tow vehicle.
Some of the trailers may have a portable controller we supply with some 3.5 tonne models call "Elecbreaks"
Help Centre: Guides, Downloads & FAQs | Elecbrakes
Check the controller is plugged in, set above zero, and that the 7-pin plug is connected.
A short, slow brake test in a quiet area is safer than finding out on the highway. If the brakes grab, fade, or do nothing, do not continue. Call us 0478 365 219.
Slow down and do not brake hard. Pull over when it is safe.
Check the load is low, centered, and tied down, and that more weight is toward the front of the deck than the rear.
A load that sits behind the axle will make the trailer wander.
Also check tyre pressures and that the coupling is locked. If it still sways, stop towing and call us. 0478 365 219.
The 15x6 2t car trailer has a hand winch as an add-on.
The handle is found in the toolbox. You won't get the code to unlock the toolbox if you have not added it as an extra to your booking.
Use it with rated straps, and keep people clear of the cable while you winch.
The winch is an aid, not a substitute for the vehicle being in gear or park, with the handbrake on, once it is on the deck.
If the winch slips, the strap is damaged, or you cannot get the vehicle on squarely, stop and call us. 0478 365 219
Do not tow an unsecured vehicle.
